It was a cold, snowy day in November 2019 (it might’ve been warm and sunny, but cold and snowy sounds better). In an effort to further our online presence, bring value, and hopefully a few chuckles to the world, we decided to dive headfirst into the blogosphere.
Despite our good intentions, the ‘look before you leap’ approach failed us miserably, although not by any fault of our own. Shortly after that, the life of our little family got turned on its head and things took a drastic turn for the worse, forcing us to prioritize the work. Unfortunately, that meant that like gravy, our online wordsmithing had to take the back burner for the time being.
Every company touts their “culture” and their “family-like” approach, often throwing around buzzwords that makes you think the boss just got a new “word of the day” calendar and can’t wait to share with the rest of the company.
The difference with us is that we “walk the talk”, with everyone buying into the philosophy that despite being a small company, we can move mountains, steal the moon (sorry, Gru), and solve any problem that comes across our desks if we “lower our drawbridges” and work as a cohesive unit rather than solitary islands afloat (and sometimes being flooded) in the vast and often unrelenting sea of condominium management.
Moving forward, it’s our hope to post on a regular basis. Some of the topics discussed with be of a more serious nature, however, in light of the happenings of the past 1–2 years, we’re hoping to keep the tone light and bring some levity and easy reading to your week, because everyone could use a laugh, a chuckle, or even a smile. If we can do that and teach you something at the same time, then consider that mission accomplished.
